VOICE TRANSLATOR PRIVACY POLICY

Last Updated: October 11, 2026

1. WHO WE ARE

This Privacy Policy applies to the Android app Voice Translator: Live AI ("Voice Translator", "the app"; package com.billionx.voicetranslator), published by BILLIONX LABS LIMITED (BillionX, "we", "us"). BILLIONX LABS LIMITED is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: support@billionx.co or billionx.co.

2. VOICE, TEXT AND PHOTOS YOU TRANSLATE

Unlike a simple offline tool, the app needs a server to translate. What you say, type or photograph in the translation features leaves your phone, and this section explains where it goes.

Where it goes. Your voice, text or photo is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS/TLS) to our own server, which runs on Cloudflare Workers, and from there to third-party speech-recognition, translation and language-model providers that process data on our behalf (listed here once finalized), which turn speech into text, translate it and speak it back. These providers process it only to give you the translation. We do not use your voice, text or photos to train AI models, and we do not sell them.

Voice. The microphone is used only while you use a voice mode (Manual, Real-time or Headphone), after an explanation screen and the Android permission prompt. In Manual mode the app listens while you hold the button; in Real-time and Headphone modes it listens continuously while the session is on, and stops when you end it. Audio is streamed to our server and the providers described above while you speak. We do not store audio on our side: audio is processed in memory and discarded when the translation is finished.

Text. The text you type or paste to translate, and the text of messages in AI Tools, is sent as described above. On our side we do not keep it, except as saved in your history below.

Photos. When you use the Photo tab, the camera opens only after you tap it and allow access (or you pick a photo with Android's own photo picker; the app does not ask for access to your photo library). The photo is sent to our server and to the providers described above to read the text in it and translate it. On our side we do not keep it.

Translation history and favorites. The app saves your translations, conversations and favorites on your phone. If you sign in with Google, they are also saved on our server so they follow you to a new phone. Signing out only stops syncing on this phone; it does not delete the copy on our server. The server copy is removed when you delete your history in the app or delete your account (Section 8).

AI Tools. AI Tools lets you chat with an AI assistant for specific tasks. What you write is sent to the providers described above to produce a reply. Replies are generated by AI and may be wrong or inappropriate. Use the Report button in the chat to flag a reply; reports help us block and filter content and improve safety. Do not enter sensitive personal information.

Translations can be wrong. Do not rely on them for medical, legal, safety or emergency decisions.

Offline language packs. Language packs are downloaded to your phone once, then translate on the phone without sending text to a server.

3. YOUR ACCOUNT (OPTIONAL)

You can use the app without an account. If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive from Google your email address and your name, and we create an account identifier. We use them to restore your Pro subscription on a new phone, to sync your history and to apply your daily limits. You can delete your account at any time (Section 8).

Quotas and abuse protection. We count your daily use per account or, if you are not signed in, per device (using the Firebase installation ID) so that free limits and fair-use limits can be enforced.

4. OTHER INFORMATION THE APP COLLECTS (FIREBASE)

The app uses Firebase from Google LLC (Google Analytics for Firebase, Crashlytics, Remote Config and Firebase Installations) for usage statistics, remote settings and crash reports. Google acts as our processor. This data does not include what you say, type or photograph.

  • App interactions: which screens and modes you use, permission prompts and whether you allowed them, translations started or finished (counts and durations, never the content), paywall shown or closed, restore result, reminder shown or opened, sign-in and sign-out, report sent, plus your plan (free, trial or Pro) and the week you installed. Why: to understand how the app is used and improve it.
  • Purchase events: product, price, currency and transaction ID when you buy or start a trial. Why: to measure revenue and the results of our own ads.
  • Crash logs and diagnostics: stack traces, device model, OS version and app state at the time of a crash (Crashlytics, release builds). Why: to find and fix crashes.
  • Device and app identifiers: Firebase installation ID, app instance ID, app version, device model, OS version, Crashlytics installation ID, language, time zone, country, and an approximate location derived by Google from your IP address (the IP address itself is masked). Why: to count users, deliver remote settings and tests, and support you.
  • Advertising ID: a resettable ID from Google Play services (the app declares the AD_ID permission). Why: to measure whether our ads led to a purchase, and for usage statistics.
  • Install source: the Firebase measurement library may read the install referrer from Google Play. Why: to measure our ad campaigns.

The Firebase library also adds the Android permissions ACCESS_ADSERVICES_ATTRIBUTION and ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID; we do not use them for anything beyond ad measurement.

No ads in the app. The app shows no ads. We may run ads for the app elsewhere (for example Google Ads), and the data above is used to measure those campaigns. We do not use it to build advertising profiles of you inside the app. You can reset or delete your Advertising ID in Android settings (Settings, Privacy, Ads).

Firebase's own description: firebase.google.com/docs/android/play-data-disclosure and support.google.com/analytics/answer/11582702.

5. PURCHASES AND NOTIFICATIONS

Subscriptions (weekly, with a 3-day free trial for eligible users, or yearly) are sold and paid through Google Play. Google handles your payment details; we never see your card number. Our server learns your subscription status from Google Play so that Pro works on all your devices. Manage or cancel in Google Play (see our Terms of Use).

If you allow notifications, the app shows reminders (at most one a day, never between 22:00 and 08:00 on your phone). They are created on your phone; we use no push server. You can turn them off in Settings or in Android settings.

6. YOUR CONSENT IN THE EEA, UK AND SWITZERLAND

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent the first time you open it, using Google's User Messaging Platform (the consent form provided through Google AdMob; the app shows no ads). Google determines whether the form applies to you, mainly from your approximate location based on your IP address, and stores your choice on your phone in the standard IAB TCF format.

We pass your choice to Google Analytics for Firebase: consent to "store and/or access information on a device" allows usage statistics; together with consent to "measure advertising performance" it allows ad-measurement data; consent to "create and use a personalised ads profile" allows ad personalisation. If you do not consent, close the form without choosing, or the form cannot be loaded, these signals stay off for you. Crash reports stay on, because we need them to keep the app working and secure. You can change your choice at any time: Settings, Privacy choices. Everywhere else, the consent form is not shown.

Legal bases (GDPR / UK GDPR): performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) for translating what you send, handling your account and purchases; your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for usage statistics and ad measurement in the regions above and for the microphone and camera, which you grant in Android; our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) for crash reports, quotas and abuse protection.

7. HOW LONG DATA IS KEPT

  • On your phone: until you delete it in the app, clear the app's storage or uninstall.
  • Audio: not stored by us. Text and photos you send: not kept on our side, except the history you choose to sync.
  • Synced history and account data: until you delete the history or your account (Section 8); then within 30 days.
  • Security and abuse logs on our server (no content): up to 30 days.
  • Google Analytics for Firebase: never longer than 14 months (Google's retention options).
  • Crashlytics: 90 days, then removal from live and backup systems (firebase.google.com/support/privacy).
  • Firebase installation ID: kept until deletion is requested; Firebase then removes the data within 180 days.
  • Purchase records: kept by Google Play under Google's terms.
  • Speech-recognition, translation and language-model providers: retention under their contract terms with us.

8. DELETING YOUR ACCOUNT AND DATA

In the app: Me, Settings, Delete account. This deletes your account, your synced history and any stored files linked to it from our server within 30 days, signs you out, and erases the app's local data on your phone. If you have no account, use Me, Settings, Delete my data to erase the app's local data and reset the Firebase installation ID.

Without the app: email support@billionx.co with the subject "Delete my account" from the email address you signed in with; we verify and complete the deletion within 30 days. Details and extra steps (such as cancelling your subscription) are on our account deletion page at billionx.co/voice-translator-account-deletion/.

Deleting your account does not cancel a Google Play subscription: cancel it in Google Play, Payments & subscriptions, Subscriptions. Data already received by Google follows Section 7.

Your rights: access, deletion, objection, withdrawal of consent and the right to complain to your data protection authority apply where your local law gives them.

9. CHILDREN

The app is for people 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the app, contact support@billionx.co and we will delete the data.

10. SECURITY AND INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Your voice, text and photos may be processed by the providers described in Section 2 and by Google in countries other than yours under their own transfer safeguards. We limit what we keep, as described above.

11. CHANGES

We may update this policy. The new date appears at the top; for material changes we will show a notice in the app.

12. CONTACT

For privacy questions or requests, contact BILLIONX LABS LIMITED (BillionX) at support@billionx.co. See also our Terms of Use and account deletion page.
