SMART TV REMOTE TERMS OF USE

1. AGREEMENT

These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and BILLIONX LABS LIMITED (BillionX, "we", "us") for the Android app Smart TV Remote: Universal ("Smart TV Remote", "the app"; package com.billionx.tvremote). By using the app you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. You must be 18 or older to use this app. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Smart TV Remote is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any TV maker or platform. Samsung, LG, Roku, Android TV and Google TV are trademarks of their owners and are named only to describe compatibility.

2. WHAT THE APP DOES

The app turns your phone into a remote control for a supported smart TV on the same Wi-Fi network. It lets you:

  • find and pair a TV on your network and save several TVs;
  • use a directional pad, touchpad, number pad, volume, channel and other remote buttons;
  • type on your phone keyboard and speak a search using Android's speech recognition dialog;
  • open apps on the TV (Pro);
  • cast photos and videos you pick from your phone to the TV over your local network (Pro);
  • mirror your phone screen to an Android TV or Google TV over your local network (Pro).

Supported TV brands in this version are Samsung, LG, Roku and Android TV / Google TV. The list can change. We do not promise that the app works with every model, software version or network setup, or that a feature available on one TV is available on another. Your phone and TV must be on the same Wi-Fi network.

3. FREE USE AND PRO SUBSCRIPTION

  • Free: connect to your TV and use the remote with a number of free button presses. The remaining count is shown in the app. The number can change through remote settings without an app update. Casting photos and videos and screen mirroring need Pro.
  • Pro unlocks unlimited button presses, opening apps on the TV, casting photos and videos from your phone to your TV, and screen mirroring to Android TV and Google TV. Items that need Pro show a "Pro" label before you tap them.
  • Plans: weekly (with a 7-day free trial for users Google Play judges eligible) and yearly. The price shown on the purchase screen, in your currency, is the price Google Play charges.
  • Free trial: if you start the trial you are not charged during the first 7 days. When the trial ends, your Google Play account is charged the weekly price shown on the purchase screen, automatically, and then every week, unless you cancel before the trial ends.
  • Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period (week or year) at the then-current price until you cancel.
  • Cancel: in Google Play (Play Store, profile, Payments & subscriptions, Subscriptions, Smart TV Remote, Cancel), or in the app: Settings, Manage in Google Play. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the paid period. Uninstalling the app or using "Delete my data" does not cancel the subscription.
  • Restore: Settings, Restore purchase asks Google Play for your purchases again.
  • Refunds: payments are handled by Google Play and refunds follow Google Play's policy. We cannot refund Google Play charges ourselves; request a refund through Google Play or contact support@billionx.co.

4. ACCEPTABLE USE

Do not: reverse engineer or tamper with the app or its purchase checks; control a TV or other device that you do not own or have permission to use; cast content you have no right to show; use the app unlawfully; resell or share a subscription; or interfere with Google Play billing.

5. CHANGES YOU MAKE TO YOUR TV

The app sends commands that can change your TV's settings, inputs, apps and volume. You are responsible for the changes you make with the app. We are not responsible for changes to your TV's settings or for how a TV responds to a command. Pairing may add this phone to the TV's list of paired devices; you can remove it in the TV's own settings.

6. DISCLAIMER

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent allowed by law. We do not promise that the app will find or keep a connection to your TV, that every button will work on every model, that casting will play every file format, or that the app is error-free or always available. Set the volume safely and take care when using the remote.

7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the extent allowed by law, BILLIONX LABS LIMITED is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data or any damage to or change in your TV or other devices. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.

8. CHANGES AND TERMINATION

We may update these Terms or the app, including the list of supported TV brands. The "Last Updated" date reflects the latest revision; continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it. For material changes we will show a notice in the app. We may suspend access if you breach these Terms.

9. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which BILLIONX LABS LIMITED is established, without regard to conflict of law rules, and without depriving you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence.
