DELETE YOUR SMART TV REMOTE DATA
This page explains how to delete your data from the app Smart TV Remote: Universal (package com.billionx.tvremote), published by BILLIONX LABS LIMITED (BillionX).
Smart TV Remote is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any TV maker or platform.
The app has no user accounts and no server of our own. Your TV details, the commands you send and the photos and videos you cast are not uploaded by the app, so we hold no copy of them. Below is how to delete what the app stores, and what is tied to its Firebase installation ID.
1. IN THE APP (FASTEST)
- Open the app.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Delete my data and confirm.
The app wipes its data, restarts and looks like a fresh install.
2. WHAT "DELETE MY DATA" DELETES
- On your phone: your saved TVs and TV pairing data, settings, cached subscription state, free-press counts and other app files.
- It asks Firebase to reset analytics data on the phone and to delete the Firebase installation ID, so new activity is no longer linked to the old ID.
- Your stored consent choice (EEA, UK and Switzerland), so the app asks for it again.
3. WHAT IT DOES NOT DELETE
- Your TV's own list of paired devices. TV pairing data is removed from your phone with Delete my data or uninstall, but your TV may still list this phone as a paired device: remove it in the TV's settings.
- Your Google Play purchase and subscription records. Your subscription is not cancelled: cancel it in Google Play, Payments & subscriptions, Subscriptions (see our Terms of Use). After the restart the app asks Google Play about your subscription again, so Pro comes back if you are still subscribed.
- Data that Google already received (Section 6).
4. UNINSTALL
Uninstalling removes everything the app keeps in its own storage. Your TV may still list this phone as a paired device. Data already sent to Google stays until it expires (Section 6).
5. BY EMAIL
Write to support@billionx.co if you have a question or need help. The only way we can remove data tied to your phone is the in-app button above, because we have no account for you and cannot look up Analytics events or crash reports by an ID. Data Google already holds is removed on the schedule below.
6. WHAT GOOGLE AND FIREBASE KEEP, AND FOR HOW LONG
- App usage events, installation and app-instance ID, device and app info, approximate location from IP (Google Analytics for Firebase): deleted automatically after the retention period set in our project, never longer than 14 months (Google's retention options).
- Crash reports and their IDs (Firebase Crashlytics, release builds): 90 days, then removed from live and backup systems (firebase.google.com/support/privacy).
- Firebase installation ID (also used for Remote Config): until deletion is requested (the app does this in "Delete my data"); Firebase removes it within 180 days after that (same page).
- Advertising ID based measurement (Google): under Google's policies. You can reset or delete your Advertising ID in Android settings (Settings, Privacy, Ads).
- Purchase and billing records (Google Play): under Google's terms; we cannot delete these.
Some records may be kept where the law requires it (for example tax or fraud prevention).
