DELETE YOUR DUPX DATA

This page explains how to delete your data from the app DupX: Storage & Photo Cleaner (package com.billionx.phone.storage.cleaner), published by BILLIONX LABS LIMITED (BillionX).

The app has no user accounts. Your photos, videos and contacts are not uploaded by the app, so we hold no copy of them. Below is how to delete what the app stores, and what is tied to its Firebase installation ID. If you allowed advertising measurement, our own small server also holds some data (Section 6).

1. IN THE APP (FASTEST)

  1. Open the app.
  2. Go to Settings (gear icon).
  3. Tap Delete my data and confirm.

The app wipes its data, restarts and looks like a fresh install.

2. WHAT "DELETE MY DATA" DELETES

  • On your phone: the app's database (photo index, archive list), settings, cached subscription state, daily limits, reminder history and other app files.
  • It asks Firebase to reset analytics data on the phone and to delete the Firebase installation ID, so new activity is no longer linked to the old ID.
  • Your stored consent choice (EEA, UK and Switzerland), so the app asks for it again.

3. WHAT IT DOES NOT DELETE

  • Your photos, videos and contacts (the app never copied them).
  • Contact backup files (.vcf) the app saved in Download/DupX before merging or deleting contacts. They contain contact details: delete them yourself in a file manager when you no longer need them.
  • Compressed videos the app saved in Movies/DupX. Delete them in your gallery or file manager.
  • Your Google Play purchase and subscription records. Your subscription is not cancelled: cancel it in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions (see our Terms of Use). After the restart the app asks Google Play about your subscription again, so Pro comes back if you are still subscribed.
  • Data that Google already received (Section 6).

4. UNINSTALL

Uninstalling removes everything the app keeps in its own storage. Backup files in Download/DupX and compressed videos in Movies/DupX stay until you delete them. Data already sent to Google stays until it expires (Section 6).

5. BY EMAIL

Write to support@billionx.co if you have a question or need help. We have no account for you and cannot look up Analytics events, crash reports or our server's records by the User ID, so the in-app button and, where it applies, the consent withdrawal in Section 6 are the ways to remove data tied to your phone; you can also email a request and we will tell you what we are able to find and delete. Data Google already holds is removed on the schedule below.

6. WHAT GOOGLE AND FIREBASE KEEP, AND FOR HOW LONG

  • App usage events, installation and app-instance ID, device and app info, approximate location from IP (Google Analytics for Firebase): deleted automatically after the retention period set in our project, never longer than 14 months (Google's retention options).
  • Crash reports and their IDs (Firebase Crashlytics, release builds): 90 days, then removed from live and backup systems (firebase.google.com/support/privacy).
  • Firebase installation ID (also used for Remote Config): until deletion is requested (the app does this in "Delete my data"); Firebase removes it within 180 days after that (same page).
  • Advertising ID based measurement (Google): under Google's policies. You can reset or delete your Advertising ID in Android settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads).
  • Install and app-open events sent to Meta (Meta App Events SDK, only after the consent step in the privacy policy): kept by Meta under its privacy policy; we cannot delete them from the app. You can reset your Advertising ID in Android settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads) and use your Facebook or Instagram privacy settings (Off-Facebook / activity from other apps) to manage or clear what Meta received.
  • Purchase and billing records (Google Play): under Google's terms; we cannot delete these.
  • Our server: if you allowed advertising measurement, our server also holds an installation ID, advertising identifiers and your subscription status. Withdrawing consent in Settings → Privacy choices (shown where the consent form applies) erases the advertising identifiers; the remaining records are deleted 400 days after the subscription ends (installation records without a subscription: 400 days without an update; event records: 90 days), or you can ask us by email. "Delete my data" does not contact our server. Details: Privacy Policy, section 3B.
  • Subscription events sent to Meta and Airbridge: kept by them under their policies (Airbridge); we cannot delete them from the app.

Some records may be kept where the law requires it (for example tax or fraud prevention).
