AUTHENTICATOR TERMS OF USE

1. AGREEMENT

These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and BILLIONX LABS LIMITED (BillionX, "we", "us") for the Android app Authenticator: 2FA Codes ("Authenticator", "the app"; package com.billionx.authenticator). By using the app you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. You must be 18 or older to use this app. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. WHAT THE APP DOES

The app helps you keep and use two-factor (2FA) codes and passwords. It lets you:

  • add accounts by scanning a QR code, typing a key, or importing from a screenshot or a file, and show their 6-digit codes (TOTP/HOTP) with a countdown;
  • organise accounts in folders, search them, and edit, move, export (QR) or delete them;
  • lock the app with a PIN and fingerprint or face unlock;
  • create and save passwords, check them against known breaches, and fill them into other apps with Autofill;
  • browse in a private in-app browser;
  • sign in with Google to sync your data between phones, end-to-end encrypted.

The app works with services that support standard 2FA (TOTP/HOTP). We do not promise it works with every service.

3. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR CODES AND YOUR PIN

  • You are responsible for keeping backups or exports of your codes. If you lose your phone, forget your PIN, or reset the app, you may lose access to your accounts at the services that issued the codes. Keep each service's own recovery codes somewhere safe.
  • Resetting the app after a forgotten PIN erases the data stored on that phone.
  • Synced data is encrypted with a key that comes from your PIN or password. We cannot recover your data if you lose that key: losing your PIN means losing synced data.
  • Use the app only for accounts and passwords you own or are allowed to manage.

4. FREE USE AND PRO SUBSCRIPTION

  • Free: add and use a limited number of codes and passwords, with the PIN and fingerprint lock. The limits can change through remote settings without an app update.
  • Premium unlocks unlimited codes and passwords, encrypted sync between devices, the private browser and Autofill. Items that need Premium show a "Premium" label before you tap them.
  • Plans: weekly (with a 3-day free trial for users Google Play judges eligible) and yearly. The price shown on the purchase screen, in your currency, is the price Google Play charges.
  • Free trial: if you start the trial you are not charged during the first 3 days. When the trial ends, your Google Play account is charged the weekly price shown on the purchase screen, automatically, and then every week, unless you cancel before the trial ends.
  • Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period (week or year) at the then-current price until you cancel.
  • Cancel: in Google Play (Play Store, profile, Payments & subscriptions, Subscriptions, Authenticator, Cancel), or in the app: Settings, Manage in Google Play. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Premium until the end of the paid period. Uninstalling the app or deleting your account does not cancel the subscription.
  • Restore: Settings, Restore purchase asks Google Play for your purchases again.
  • Refunds: payments are handled by Google Play and refunds follow Google Play's policy. We cannot refund Google Play charges ourselves; request a refund through Google Play or contact support@billionx.co.

5. YOUR ACCOUNT

Signing in with Google is optional and needed only for sync. You can delete your account at any time in Settings, Account, Delete account, or by following our account deletion page. We may suspend an account that breaches these Terms.

6. ACCEPTABLE USE

Do not: reverse engineer or tamper with the app or its purchase checks; try to access other people's accounts, codes or data; use the app unlawfully; resell or share a subscription; or interfere with Google Play billing.

7. DISCLAIMER

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent allowed by law. We use encryption to protect your data but we do not promise that the app or any system is completely secure, that it will work with every service, or that it is error-free or always available. Our name is not connected with any other authenticator app or with the services whose codes you add; all service and brand names belong to their owners.

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the extent allowed by law, BILLIONX LABS LIMITED is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data or of access to your accounts, including through a lost phone, a forgotten PIN or a reset. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.

9. CHANGES AND TERMINATION

We may update these Terms or the app. The "Last Updated" date reflects the latest revision; continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it. For material changes we will show a notice in the app.

10. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which BILLIONX LABS LIMITED is established, without regard to conflict of law rules, and without depriving you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence.
